Some of you may have experienced slow performance using SharePoint, Win 7 and I.E 8. This may only concern those of you that use a Hosted SharePoint provider that publishes it with ISA 2006. Not sure if it will have an effect when using SharePoint on the Lan.
Recently I did the upgrade from XP to Win 7, loaded all my
favourite apps...everything was humming until I went to download a
document from SharePoint and it took 20 secs with the following box
popping up...
I added the SharePoint site to my Trusted Sites...still no
luck...was still slower than a slow motion replay of a Suzuki Swift
taking a hair pin at high-speed.
I remembered that
back in the dark ages I used to turn off 'Automatically Detect
Settings' under I.E Tools - Connections - Lan...and it speed
certain things up.......
So I unchecked and applied my way out of settings, tested
opening a document in SharePoint and woohoo, back to the speed it
was from my XP days :)
