Microsoft Unified Communications is part of the Microsoft
Exchange family of applications.
MHA integrate Microsoft Unified Communications in to our Managed
Outlook and Managed Lync product sets.
Adding unified messaging to your Managed Outlook account means
you can access your mailbox via telephone from inside or outside
your organisation.
By dialling in to the system, you can interact with your mailbox
via speech recognition - accessing your inbox, contacts and
calendar information all by 'speaking' to the Exchange server via
your telephone. This option is invaluable for mobile workers
who need immediate access to their mailboxes on the road.
Managed Outlook Unified Communications also powers the voicemail
and Interactive Voice Response menus with in the Managed Lync
product. When a caller leaves you a voicemail on your Managed
Lync extension, the voicemail is immediately available through the
Lync client as well as been delivered to your mailbox as an email
attachment.

MHA use Microsoft Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010 Unified
Messaging to deliver our solutions.
MHA have this service integrated through our voice gateway
platform with connection to the PSTN (Public Switched Telephone
Network).
MHA provide a dedicated local phone number for your organisation
to dial in to for access to the Unified Messaging service (Outlook
Subscriber Access).
You can choose to have Unified Messaging enabled on your Managed
Outlook Elite account. Managed Lync accounts generally are
bundled with Managed Outlook mailboxes as UM is the core voicemail
component of the Managed Lync telephone solution.
IVR Menu's are also powered by Exchange and MHA can configure
these with your own recordings and key presses to control which
hunt groups and extensions telephone calls are forwarded
to.
